another note:
my controller shows up as ID: 045E 02DD simular to this thread:
https://gimx.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1243&start=10
but it seams this was never solved. I think this may have to do with the newer controllers with the 3.5 mm jacks. Anyway around this Malto?
Xone with Teensy 2.0
Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
D2 should be connected on TXD and D3 on RXD. Also make sure there is no loose contact.
Sadly the only solution for now is to get an old controller without the 3.5mm jack.

Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
update:
I went on good old Craigs list and found a orignial controller without the 3.5 mm jack on the bottom. A friend also lent me theirs.
They do have the correct ID now. I still have the same issue:
global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `XOnePadUsbXinput.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM3'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
GIMX 6.3 x86_64
Windows 7 SP1 x64
Kernel version: 6.1 (7601)
windows/async.c:344 async_read_timeout: ReadFile failed: timeout expired.
can't read packet header
gimx.c:208 SDL_main: no adapter detected

Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
Also i noticed, when i hit check it says "joystick not found: x360 Controller (0). Shouldnt it say XboxONE instead of 360?
Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
I have constantly been switching D2 and D3 par the instructions on the setup guide as well. still the same thing. Is the error message I am receiving saying that it cant find the DIY dongle ?
Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
Check it again. And make sure the contact on each pin is firm.
Also there are a few tips here:

Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
i just used a continuity tester , it beeps on all the contacts at the bottoms of the boards. Im going through the link now and installing the latest version of Aurduino. Ill check back. Hopefully this can help someone. Ive tried it on two other laptops so far with the same result.
Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
OK Malto now Im getting somewhere!
I use the latest Ubuntu Distro X64. And when i hit start the last two lines read something like this:
Detected Xboxone controller
Using default value of 4.00 m/s
Only one problem, the keyboard and mouse do not control the menu on the Xbox one. I hit the home button , like the instructions said, after hitting start and it just turns off the Xbox (as you would expect). I tried it on the controller to and it throws errors in the terminal box. Any thoughts?

Re: Xone with Teensy 2.0
I just re-read everything again and noticed i missed the part that mentioned the supported Linux OS "16.04".
I was using 16.10. I am installing 16.04 now and will update later.
Matlo, do you see an issue with using 16.10?
