I need some help getting this to work (ps4)

Post by topotamolder »

I just got my usb adapter already built from the website steve-marton.com/gimx/?product=diy-usb-adapter-for-gimx

I can't get my wheel to work and don't know why. So any help would be appreciated

These are the steps I followed.

1-Installed GIMX (it seem that it also installed the usbk driver by itself, but didn't notice any CP210x driver)
2-Turned on my ps4 directly from the power button
2- Connected the usb adapter to the PC
3-Connected the wheel to the pc and installed logitech gaming software
4-Connected the DS4 to the pc while it was off (it now has an orange light, like if it was charging)
5- connected the micro usb cable to the other side of the adapter and then to the ps4
6-Opened GIMX launcher, selected my wheel's config, logitechDrivingForceGT_g29 - checked config - this config seems ok
7- pressed start, this is what the cmd screen looks like - https://gyazo.com/1b9b365c38792327480f87c1fd2220cd
8-Pressed the PS button on the driving force gt, nothing happens. Nothing is responding.

Edit: Just found out how to get a log file. And this is what it's showing

global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `LogitechDrivingForceGT_G29.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM4'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
GIMX 6.3 x86_64
Windows 7 SP1 x64

Nevermind I got it working!!!

I downloaded and installed the CP210x driver and a new device named Silicon labs "CP210x USB to UART bridge (COM4)" appeared. Now everything is working it seems.

Confused as it says on the guide that the driver is included with the GIMX installer, but whatever.

Hopefully this post can help anyone with similar issues
