G25, W10, TIAO, PS4

Post by Sarcio »

Restarting the thread in the correct category ;)
Completed the tiao tutorial to get the gboard flashed and ready.
After a bit of tinkering and googling, I got the adapter to show up in gimx launcher on com3.

Using the LogitechG25_G29.xml config, I got it working, but the PS4 doesn't seem to recognize the wheel as a wheel. Meaning it's greyed out in game setttings, and not showing up in the devices section of the XMB. Have tried both Driveclub VR and The Crew.

I have the standard DS4 controls (d-pad, and buttons) working on the wheel, but none of the axes. The wheel will scroll through items in the XMB, but not in games.

Anyone got anything on this?

The Crew does not support the G29:

Do you have the non-VR version of DriveClub to try?

Right, didn't know that, thanks.
But Drive Club should support it, both the vr and regular versions. Lots of people are using it.
Guess I have to get another game to be sure though.
Any suggestions?

I think there is a demo for WRC5 that supports the G29.

Thanks for the tip, I bought Project Cars and Sebastien Loeb Rally in a bundle.
Project Cars works okay, but the ffb is lugging the wheel from side to side horribly when driving straight, probably a dead-zone setting or something.
F1 2016 works better. Still waiting for Seb Loeb.

Now all of a sudden Driveclub vr works as well, pretty good even.
Only thing is that the two buttons on the wheel won't work in any game, even after i tried remapping them in config.

Wheel seems to disconnect from the playstation after a while. Anyone experienced this?

This is how i start.
1.Connect wheel to pc
2.Connect Gboard to pc and ps4
3.Start ps4 with ds4 (so it's connected)
4.Connect ds4 to pc
5.Start and run Gimx
6.Start the game on ps4 with wheel buttons (thereby checking its function)

Then it all works great for some time, until the wheel stops responding. Has not happened during a race yet, only when starting a race.

The quickfix so far is hitting the ps button on the ds4, this sends the ps4 to xmb. Then i restart gimx, hit the ps-button on the wheel, and get back to racing.

The DS4 should be turned off before using it with GIMX.
