Unable to start

Post by orbiter »

Hello, I am having some issues attempting to get the software to start for the first time. Have reviewed a number of the other posts on the forum but so far have been unable to find a solution.

Setup is Logitech G27, Teensy ++2.0, CP2102 UART. Runing on Windows 10 64bit, with version 6.2 x86_64

Teensy is flashed with the at90usb1286.hex version of EMUG29PS4.

Seeing the following in the log file.

Driver file operation error. Failed to open device symlink \\.\UsbDk (The system cannot find the file specified. Error code = 2)
Driver file operation error. Failed to open device symlink \\.\UsbDk (The system cannot find the file specified. Error code = 2)
global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `LogitechG27_G29_W10 - new.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM3'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
GIMX 6.2 x86_64
Windows 10 (or later) x64
Kernel version: 10.0 (14393)
USB adapter detected, controller type is: G29 PS4.
gusb.c:1065 gusb_open_ids: libusb_get_device_list failed with error: Other error
gusb.c:1065 gusb_open_ids: libusb_get_device_list failed with error: Other error
No controller was found on USB buses.
gimx.c:208 SDL_main: no adapter detected

I've checked the config and wheel and DS4 are being detected correctly.
From the log also appears that it is detecting the flashed teensy board.

I've tried switching the tx/rx and that hasn't resolve. Just means that the adapter isn't detected.

Not sure what to try next. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi,
You probably did not install USBDK at the end of the GIMX installation.
Re-install GIMX to install USBDK.
And if you have issues installing USBDK, make sure to apply all Windows updates and retry.

Thanks for the quick response. I did install USBDK in the original install, and also went back and tried to install again from the GIMX/tools/usbdk directory. I'll uninstall it and try again. Any thoughts on how to check the installation has been a success?

Good news. I've tried with a different laptop, and now have everything working.
Being able to play Project Cars with the G27 is awesome. Thanks.
