Need help with setting up Logitech G27 on PS4 Slim

Post by kchen2046 »

Hi,

I am trying to set up my G27 wheel to work on the PS4 Slim. I have read through the wikis and most of the support thread on this forum but still can't get this figured out.. Hopefully I can get some help by opening a new thread here.

Setup:
- Tiao board flashed with GIMX firmware for PS4G29
- Logitech G27
- PS4 Slim, and 2nd Generation DS4 (came with PS4 Slim)
- TIAO board connects with computer and PS4, DS4 and Logitech are connected to computer.
- Windows 7 64bit
- GIMX 6.1 64 bit installed
- USBDK and CP201x drivers installed. I can only install USBDK 1.0.7 because all later version failed to install.. (for example, when I do 1.0.12, all my USB ports stopped working...

Status:
- When open up GIMX, the COM port is shown, i assume the board is successful detected. Looks like the Logitech G27 is connected and detected as well, because as I click Check, it does not say "G27 not found". However, the problem is that it doesn't detect my DS4... When click on Test, it says "Joystick not found: PS4 Controller (0)"

Thinks I've tried:
- I tried to replace the PS4 Controller driver with LibUSB by using Zafig. not working
- Tried different USB cables, not working
- Reinstall Logitech driver, not working

It seems that the only thing missing is having GIMX detects my DS4... I made sure that when the DS4 is off when connecting to my computer. But it is just not working for some reason...

The following is the log when I try to start GIMX:

global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `LogitechG27_G29.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM3'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
GIMX 6.1 x86_64
Windows 7 SP1 x64
Kernel version: 6.1 (7601)
USB adapter detected, controller type is: G29 PS4.
gusb.c:863 handle_interfaces: libusb_claim_interface failed with error: Operation not supported or unimplemented on this platform
gusb.c:870 handle_interfaces: libusb_release_interface failed with error: Entity not found
No controller was found on USB buses.
gimx.c:207 SDL_main: no adapter detected

Thank you very much!

Update - Good and Bad news:

I bought a original (old) dualshock 4 in order to test this out, and the good news is, when i click on check, everything seems ok. Bad news is that it only lasts for a second and this is the log i capture:

global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `LogitechG27_G29.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM3'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
GIMX 6.1 x86_64
Windows 7 SP1 x64
Kernel version: 6.1 (7601)
USB adapter detected, controller type is: G29 PS4.
found pass-through device 0x054c:0x05c4
Timer resolution: min=156001 max=5000 current=5000
gusb.c:185 get_endpoint: no such endpoint: 0x84
No controller was found on USB buses.
gimx.c:207 SDL_main: no adapter detected

Any suggestion to move this forward? Thanks alot!!!

Did you install all Windows updates before installing GIMX?
