Very slow mouse movement

Post by KhashayarJan »

Hi
I just managed to get GIMX to work. But now it's not usable because mouse movement is just terrible!
I've tried calibrating it too but still not good.

My mouse is Logitech MX Performance. DPI is 1500. It is low but I don't have any problem playing FPS on PC.
I've tried on Overwatch and Bioshock Infinite and neither are playable.

What's the problem? Is it low DPI? will it be solved with a 3200 DPI mouse? or higher?
or is it something else?

I'm using Arduino Pro Micro + FT232 USB + (Raspberry Pi 3 / Windows 10)

Thanks for answer
Yes I did read them. Although I missed the part that higher DPI on PC might not be sensed but itdoes in GIMX

So buying a high DPI would fix it then, right?

I don't want to pay for a gaming mouse and it still not working fine.

If your only problem is slow movement, just increase the sensitivity.
If you also have jerkiness, you may add mouse smoothing.

I just tried it with Apple Magic Mouse ( I know, very weird choice) and it worked very well. I guess I have to buy a Gaming mouse.

Thanks for a great software.

I bought a gaming mouse with 8200 DPI and 1000 hz refresh rate.
I still can't get a good experience.
I did calibrate and still couldn't get good results.

But one thing I noticed was when calibrating, pressing F6 so the software would test, on that mode, it worked flawlessly. But as it was test, the software kept inserting commands and move screen. I don't know what's the problem but it worked very well in that mode.

Any suggestions? Please.

BTW as I said, my new mouse is 1000 Hz, why does the software show 100 Hz as refresh rate? are they just not related? or I should change something

Post your configuration, and explain how your mouse movement currently behaves.
