GIMX not working with PS4

Post by twisted89 »

Hi,

I'm having trouble setting up GIMX to work with my PS4, I think the issue may be something to do with authenticating the controller but I'm not sure.
So my setup is the following
Dualshock 4 --- Wired --> PC --- Wired --> TIAO GBoard/GIMX Adapter --- Wired --> PS4 USB port

I have tried multiple OS's, Windows, Ubuntu 14.04 to latest 16 but all of them have the same issue, I start GIMX, it registers presses when set to log and the RL light on the board flashes but the PS4 doesn't pick up any input. It might be worth noting that when first attached and started the PS4 shows the message 'cannot use wireless controllers for the playstation 3 system'

Here is my log:

Code: Select all

global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `Dualshock4.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `/dev/ttyUSB0'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set

EDIT:
You can lock this thread, I stupidly followed the firmware install tutorial blindly and installed the DS3 firmware instead of the DS4.
