Keeping an eye out for one but yeah the demand is crazy high so it'll probably be quite some time until I get one. Mostly to set it up as an entertainment center thingamajig but also out of interest for GIMX.

As said on the wiki, it's one of the recommended way to run GIMX.

On element 14 for about 40€.
You have to register your interest first. Then you will receive a mail for the order.

Patience is required as there is no stock!

Well I managed to get GIMX running on the Raspberry Pi..... Just; there is at least a 7 second delay between key press and the PS3 registering it. Denied

Belkin F8T012 USB Bluetooth adapter
Vanilla USB keyboard and mouse
Monitor with inbuilt USB hub (the Pi only has 2 USB ports which is useful when using a USB keyboard and mouse :? )
VRC adapter which allows an RC transmitter to be connected as a game port.
http://www.rc-news.de/11/2008/vrc-3-usb-adapter/

Ive already managed to get all the above working on a laptop running Ubuntu with GIMX and it was brilliant, especially in GT5.

The VRC adapter needed jscalibrator but managed to download all the packages for Ubuntu 9.10. The jscalibrator from this version works on ARMEL that's in the Pi. I compiled GIMX with your instructions that were really helpful, thank you; Although I got stuck a bit on the 'svn' part, but just needed:
sudo apt-get install subversion
