GIMX without pc or Pi ?

Post by Gadgeroonie »

Hi Guys,

i am about to buy a solution to let me run the older style Logitech Steering Wheel GT and G25 on the Ps4

i like the idea of the GIMX and that I can build it myself

however it appears it will only run with a PC or Pi as the interface between the 2 ends of the usb cables

is this correct ?

is it possible to program an Arduino to to the translation of the codes so no exernal pc / Pi is required ?

is there a later version of the GIMX in development that would be more like the Titan ?

Hi,
Your assumption is correct, and no, there won't be anything without a computer.
GIMX leverages the existing input device drivers of the operating system.
It would be a huge amount of work to support as many input devices as GNU/Linux and Windows do.
