Re: GIMX 6.9 update problems

Hi Matlo, Thanks for the link. I ran this utility, but it would not even list Intel devices found, so I disable my antivirus and tried again, but with no success. I checked that the DS4 had been identified as a "wireless controller" and tried to update driver manually, but apparently I am ...

Re: GIMX 6.9 update problems

Hi Matlo, Sorry for the long delay in replying. Just tried to install the 6.11 update with the same results ( I guess because it now automatically installs the drivers which caused the problem when I tried this with 6.9). My PC is HP 8000 ELITE SFF COMPUTER PC - CORE 2 DUO 3.16GHZ, 4GB RAM, 320GB HD...

Re: GIMX 6.9 update problems

Hi Matlo,

I ran the update again, and unchecked the USBDK and CP210 boxes, just leaving the box for GIMX launcher checked. This has now worked, and I am running GIMX 6.9.

Many thanks,

Spronk :D

GIMX 6.9 update problems

Hi Matlo, I have had a couple of attempts to replace my working version of GIMX 6.8 with 6.9. on Windows 7 64 bit. Each time I run the launcher, I get a message that the Dualshock Controller cannot be found. The Error log looks like this: Driver file operation error. Failed to open device symlink \\...

GIMX keeps getting better

Thanks to Matlo for recently helping me to upgrade from GIMX 5.7 to the latest version of GIMX (6.3). I use GIMX to allow my Logitech Momo Force Red wheel to emulate a G29 in Project Cars on the PS4. The first improvement I noticed was the effectiveness of the authentication process. With GIMX 5.7, ...

Re: GIMX 6.3 update problems

Thanks, Matlo. I took a cautious approach by disabling my antivirus application, ran the GIMX 6.3 installer and rebooted. I then manually installed the USBDK drivers. This installed the new drivers and uninstalled the existing ones. This implies that GIMX 6.3 installer will install USBK drivers, but...

GIMX 6.3 update problems

Hi Matlo, I've been using GIMX 5.7 successfully for a long time now on Win 7 64 bit with a DIY USB adapter to emulate a G29 on PS4. I have tried to update to 6.3 a few times now, but without success, and have had to do a system restore on each occasion to get back to my working version of 5.7. The l...

Windows device settings to avoid controller freezing

This may have been covered elsewhere, but my Logitech Momo Force wheel/USB adaptor/PS4 started freezing intermittently the other day. It had been generally reliable, but I had a long session on Project Cars and something had been interfering with GIMX on the PC. I had already unchecked power managem...

LogitechMomoForce_G29.XML (PS4)

Please find attached a fully tested configuration file for the Logitech Momo Force (Red) FFB steering wheel. This allows the wheel to be recognized as a Logitech G29 wheel on the PS4 version of Project Cars. I recommend that the Windows Logitech Gaming Software wheel settings are first configured so...
