Windows 10 x64Start menu stops working after installing GIMX

When I install GIMX and its associated packages, all my USB devices stop working during the installation. I complete the installation by using RDP to connect from another machine. After rebooting, USB devices seem ok, but I can no longer open the start menu. Any win10 apps i have pinned to the taskbar (like the calculator) are replaced with a blank icon. If I perform a system restore to before the install, everything returns to normal. When I attempt the install again, the same thing happens. I did this about 4 times. One of the times I installed, my start menu did work. But within another reboot or two, it eventually stopped working again. i tried other fixes for a non functioning windows 10 start menu, but restoring to before the install is the only solution that worked for me. I'm guessing this is an issue with USBDK?
