I type alt-f2 being on cmd line and RasberryPi hang.
So I understood that I must do it beeing in graphic interface.
But I decided to reinstall and redo all your tutorial.
As I had problems with my keyboard (I think I have to buy a powered usb hub), I learned to use Putty.
At the end, all seems working.
Thanks for your help

For those who use gimx-bluetooth or gimx-serial, there was an issue that was hanging the cpu, which may explain why there are latency issues on the raspberry pi.
Please checkout the source code and build GIMX again, and let me know if it works better!
Another good news: I will receive my own raspberry pi in a few days

Theres a "new" distro based on debian made exclusive(read: better perfomance) for Raspberry Pi, it is
Raspbian

Waiting my Rasp Pi come to test it with gimx.

If someone is new to linux like I am, and they happen to be using raspbmc AND using the usb-usb adapter, then they need to enter the command: sudo apt-get install make , to get make package which is required in that specific debian distro. Hope this helps someone. Also you should sudo apt-get install usbutils, so you can use lsusb command to idendify your adapter usb 'name'.

I managed to build a package for
Raspbian:
download link
If you test it, first check that your mouse polling rate is not higher than 500Hz (more
on the wiki).

Hey!
I'm considering buying the Raspberry Pi for my converter however I want to know if there is any latency or if the latency is more than that when using the PC?
Also if there are only 2 usb ports how can I plug in my GIMX, mouse and keyboard at the same time? Will I need a USB hub?
Cheers

With the current GIMX version (0.50) you need a USB HUB.
But I plan to use the on board serial port, which can replace the USB to serial converter. This will remove the need for a USB HUB.
I will test the performances as soon as I get the on board serial port working.

I had no time to test the on board uart.
Feedback on the current GIMX version for Raspbian would be appreciated!
