DriveClub problems with Gas and Brake (Logitech G27)

Post by kolja05 »

Hi, I just received the GIMX USB Hardware. Installation process is done and I started DriveClub.
I could launch the game with the steering Wheel (G27) Buttons. So Buttons work.
The Wheel itself works, I can Control the car.
Gas works nearly correct, means, it increases Speed fast when gas is pressed but Speed also increases slowly when I do not push the gas at all.
When I press brake, it reduces Speed very, very slowly. If I then release the brake, Speed increases again slowly.
Can you help?
Please let me know what else I can provide so you understand my Problem better.
Thank you!

Ah...and with the config G27 it does not work at all. I Need to load the G29 config in the GIMX launcher. And same behaviour in GTA.

Please provide log file for investigation.
I've tested G27_G29 config on the repo, it worked fine.

How can I attach a file here? I created a log-file with some simple Actions:
Gas, Brake, Wheel left, Wheel Right.
Would that be ok and helpful?
Thank you!

Generate a log file: select "Messages>Log file" in gimx-launcher before starting GIMX.
Reproduce the issue while generating the log file.
Stop GIMX, post the log file on pastebin and add the link into your post.

The problem is you did not install logitech gaming software for your wheel on PC, please install it and re-test.

Well, one thing is, that, although I downloaded the Logitech Gaming Software from the logitech Website and installed it as Administrator, everytime I start your Software, the GIMX-launcher, it tells me that there is the Gaming Software required and if I want to download it and install it. this happens everytime. I install everytime it asks me.
Some functions are working quite properly like gas and Wheel. But as described, e.g. brake does not work.
Are you sure it is the gaming Software? If yes, is there a Special Version required? I installed manually the latest. But do not know which one is downloaded by your program.
What else can it be? Which Information do you Need?

Could you please check using the task manager that you have a running process named "Logitech WingMan Event Monitor" (case sensitive)?
