Driving Force Pro/PS4/Project Cars

Post by MaxPower »

Hello,

I own a PS4, Project Cars and an old wheel (Logitech Driving Force Pro).

I want to use this wheel on my new Playstation.

But I don´t understood the tutorial.
So, if this questions was answered in the past, I want to say sorry

My question:
How could I use my wheel on the PS4.

1) I download the GIMX-config software
2) I downloaded the config file "LogitechDrivingForceGT_G29"
3) I Installed the 32-bit LGS software. The Wheel does run. Every buttons and throttle works.
3) I open the GIMX software. If I press "auto detect", the software find my Wheel (joystick Logitech Driving For...)
4) If I open "file" "open" "LogitechDrivingForceGT_G29" I got this failure message:
joystick not found: Logitech Driving Force (0)
joystick not found: Logitech Driving Force GT USB (0)
joystick not found: PS4 Controller (0).

What should I do?

Sorry, I don´t have any idea from this complicated stuff.

Thanks for your answers!

Sincerly,
Max

Hi,

Did you read the wiki?
http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

To make your wheel work including force feedback, you need to build a DIY USB adapter, and load the EMUG29PS4 firmware on it.
Everything is covered on the wiki.

The messages you got are in fact info messages, not error messages.
Just replace all the Driving Force GT mappings with Driving Force Pro ones.

Hi Matlo,
thank you for your answer.

Yes, I read the Wiki, but I wasn't sure, if I need a DIY USB adapter.
And I do not understand everything.

I know a person who ca do this for me.
If i have such an adapter and load the EMUG29PS4 firmware on it.
Whats next?
And must there be a permant connection between the wheel and the adapter?

I need a step by step manual please.

I thank you so much your answer!
