There is an enable pin for the 3v3 regulator. Whether this bypasses it to the micro or just disables the 3ve pin, I don't know yet but would be nice if I could just pull down a pin and go.. The firmware sets the clock to 16MHz. From datasheet this requires power supply to be 5V. From the specs you provided your board has a 3.3V power supply.
