I just downloaded the source code and will check it out. Any hints regarding from where I should start? It would be correct to assume that this is a problem with the firmware?

As mentioned here: http://gimx.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22, the PS button emulation is not yet supported for the PC to PS3 USB adapter. Any idea when this would be fixed?
